Recently, the winning candidates for the centralized procurement project of base station antennas (2023) of China Telecom Group were announced, and Tongyu Communications successfully won the bid for the project. In this centralized procurement project, China Telecom Group estimates that it will purchase a total of 780,600 base station antennas. It is worth mentioning that more than 480,000 antennas are in the 800M frequency band, accounting for more than 60% of this centralized procurement.
According to a document from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in August this year, China Telecom was licensed to re-cultivate the 800MHz frequency band currently used for 2G/3G/4G systems for use as a 5G public mobile communications system.
The 800MHz frequency band has low propagation loss, wide coverage, strong penetration, and low deployment cost, making it very suitable for network coverage in rural and remote areas of my country. By recultivating the 800MHz frequency band, China Telecom can better carry out 5G services in towns, rural areas and remote areas, allowing local people to further enjoy high-quality 5G services.
As a loyal and reliable supplier and long-term strategic partner of China Telecom, Tongyu Communications will make unremitting efforts to quickly respond to and deliver the project, and continue to firmly support China Telecom's development strategy and provide innovative communication solutions. Through this successful bid, Tongyu Communications looks forward to working with China Telecom to further promote the high-quality development of my country's 5G network, help optimize China's spectrum resources, and lay a solid foundation for China to build a network power and digital China as soon as possible.
Tongyu Communications will continue to uphold the principle of customer first and provide excellent products and solutions to China Telecom and its operators and partners. We believe that this cooperation will surely promote the high-quality development of China's 5G communications industry, help further improve the quality of network coverage in towns, rural areas and remote areas, and bring better communication experience to the people.
